Hi everyone! Today we make a delicious weekend lunch spread with several tasty yet easy dishes for you to try out! Open for full recipes!

Make the dhal balls:
Soaked 1 cup toor dhal and 1/2 cup another chana dhal for an hour and let's grind this now
Add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp anise seeds, 2 dry red chilies to the soaked dhal and grind it
2 tbsp shredded coconut, salt as per preference, some curry leaves, 1/2 medium size onion, handful of cilantro leaves
Make small balls and steam them in an idli steamer and steam for 10 minutes!
Potato fry:
Add some oil to fry the potatoes
Add hand full of onions and 2 cloves of garlic
Add the 5 washed and cut potatoes
Let's add very little water and close it with a lid so it can cook
Add 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp garam masala
Put it on medium heat and cover it with a lid to let it can get roasted around the edges
Garnish with cilantro and turn off the stove
Prepare the curry:
Add some sesame oil
Add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 10 chopped shallots, curry leaves, 4 cloves of garlic
Add 1 medium chopped tomato
Add 1 tsp of salt
Add 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1stp chili powder, 1 1/2 coriander powder
Add mixture of a small lemon size tamarind and water
Add 1 1/2 of water
Add 1 cup coconut milk
Add the dhal balls
Break down the last dhal ball to add thickness
Wait till it boils once then turn off the stove
Gourd fry:
Add oil
Add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp urad dhal
Add a handful of chopped onions and 3 chilies
Let it sauté
Add a medium size gourd that's been washed and chopped
Add 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric
Add very little water because the gourd is a water based vegetable
Let it cook for a few minutes
Add the boiled moong dhal and chana dhal (together 1/4 cup)
Add the mixture of grinded 2 tbsp coconut and 1/4 tsp jeera
For rasam:
Add 2 tomatoes, mixture of tamarind and water (as per preference)
Mash 1 tsp peppercorn, 1 tsp jeera, 2 cloves of garlic and add it to the rasam
Add handful of cilantro
1 tsp rasam powder, 1 tsp turmeric, add salt as per preference
Mix it all together
Add a 1/2 of water to the rasam
In a separate pan heat oil and add 1/2 tsp of mustard, 1/2
tsp of fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp of asafoetida powder, curry leaves and dried chilli
Add the rasam to the pan
That’s it, it’s ready.
